2. Personal data we collect

• Student profile: full name, email, phone, study year, and college when you use Create Profile.
• Feedback / testimonials: name, optional email and college, rating, and comments when you share feedback.
• College inquiries: contact name, email, phone, college name, designation, message, and contact preference when colleges submit a partnership form.
• Browser storage: your email and a secure profile access token may be stored in your browser's local storage so you can reload your profile on return visits.
• Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) collected by our hosting provider for security and operations.

3. Why we use your data (Purpose)

• To create, maintain, and let you update your student profile.
• To respond to college partnership requests.
• To review feedback before publishing success stories.
• To send operational notifications to our team (when email is configured).
• To protect the platform through rate limiting, fraud prevention, and security monitoring.
• To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

4. Legal basis and consent

By submitting forms on this website, you provide consent for us to process your personal data for the purposes described above. For feedback submissions, you must also agree that your quote may be reviewed and published after admin approval.

If you are under 18 years of age, you should use this site only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, especially before submitting personal data.

5. How we protect your profile

Saved student profiles can only be loaded or deleted with your registered phone number or a secure token issued to your browser after you save your profile. We do not expose profiles through a public email-only lookup.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data while you use our services or as needed for program administration. Inactive student profiles may be deleted after 24 months of no activity. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request erasure of your data;
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Data processors and cross-border transfer

We use third-party providers for hosting, database storage, and email delivery (which may include services located outside India, such as Vercel and Turso). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards and their own privacy terms. By using this site, you acknowledge that data may be processed in jurisdictions where our providers operate.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we hold, including access controls for admin functions, hashed profile tokens, rate limiting, and secure transport (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
